Computing

Computing at Goodyers End Primary ensures pupils are equipped to use computational thinking and creativity to understand and change the world.  Our computing links strongly with Mathematics, Science and Design & Technology, providing pupils to become digitally literate.  They discover insights into how digital systems work and how this knowledge is used in programming.

Building on this knowledge and understanding, pupils are equipped to use information technology to create programs and solve problems involving systems in a range of contents at a level suitable for the future workplace and as active participants in a digital world.

Pupils are taught to be responsible, competent, confident and creative users of information and communication technology through our online safety curriculum, and we have elected ambassadors in each class, which lead the school in their understanding of keeping safe online.

Attached below is the Knowledge and Skills Progression document for Computing.  This details the areas children will cover in various year groups.
